Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we are in-network with Aetna, AnthemCigna, and Husky (under 21).

A superbill will be provided to facilitate reimbursement for out-of-network visits.

What can I expect from my naturopathic medical visit?

The first office visit is typically 60 minutes. An extended first office visit allows for a thorough intake of your health history. A physical examination pertinent to your condition will be performed. Laboratory and other clinical testing may be ordered on the first visit to aid in diagnosis and treatment. A treatment plan will be devised and supplements prescribed as indicated.

Follow-up visits are typically 30 minutes.

*Visits with the doctor may vary in length, depending on the complexity and needs of the patient.

My child takes/I take prescription medications. Are natural therapies safe to use with medications?

Yes, natural therapies can be used successfully in conjunction with pharmaceutical medications. While the majority of natural therapies are non-toxic and safe, there are some that are potentially toxic. Dr. Alston is trained extensively in herb-drug interactions and drug-nutrient depletions and will work diligently to avoid potential interactions while maximizing nutritional status. Natural therapies are especially beneficial for minimizing the side effects of medications.
